This thread is dedicated for all attendees to create their own character. Create a bio for you. Use a fake name if you wish. "New Hope" is a role playing game. Which means you can be whoever you want to be.
Have fun. I will post up a bio in a moment for an example.

Also, at the end of your bio entry, post up how your uniform will be. Feel free to costumize your uniform. Wanna dress like Rambo? Then dress like Rambo. But please be sure to maintain the base uniform for the team you want to be on. Example: If you are military......digital camo base layer: green head band, purple boots, yellow shades, priest collar..........get it?

`My name, is not necessary.  Nor is where I am from.  For the purposes of study, whoever is reading this can refer to me as “Rain,” for it seems to follow me everywhere I go.  Like tears from the heavens themselves.  This is to be the first, of many, detailed accounts of the actions of a twisted and corrupted government.  It has been six months since they first exacted their toll on me, and my mind has not allowed me to revisit it until this point.  This is to be a running account of my life, and those who have been a part of it until this point.  Maybe someday, when the human race is once again, human, if the ever are, someone will find this, and know what those of us who survived had to endure so that they could carry on.

My father was a good man.  He showed my mother nothing but love and compassion, and raised my two brothers and myself in the same spirit in which he lived his life.  He was a well versed man in history...he absolutely loved it.  He was forevermore telling me of the bravery of the human race in the face of tyranny.  One of his favorite stories was The Battle of Thermopalyae.  Herodotus provided us a gripping account of the battle, Free Greeks, from many areas of the country, banding together to fend off a common enemy to their liberty, justice, and freedom.  They lost the battle, but because of their courage and fortitude, they won the war.

I see none of that courage, or brotherhood these days.  There are few of us willing to band together to fight a common enemy to our survival.  The select handful that care enough to, are scared to.  But I can't say that I blame them.  Every time a settlement pops up, the rag tag government sends out their little “police force” and either attempts to round them up, or outright eradicates them.  It seems that they fear someone taking away their “power.”  What power?  There is no rule in this land, there is only survival, and it is an individual effort.  At most, you have a family group, until it is torn apart by the government.  They came in the night.  I was cursed to have been on watch of our small group of families on the southeastern side of our camp.  They came in from the north.  The poor watchmen never knew what hit them.  By the time to calamity reached my ears, they were done, and slipped away like shadows in the night, leaving only the sickening slaughter behind.  There couldn't have been more than four of them, but when your only weapon is a stick compared to their automatic weapons, there may have well been a hundred.  The left one behind.  I assume that he was there to pick of any stragglers that stumbled along.  He was drunk, pressumably celebrating his "victory."  He wasnt hard to overpower.  We will suffice it to say that his weapon, is now my weapon.  And I have turned it thoroughly against it's former owners...maybe not well, but I definitely do it.

Before the whole world decided to kill itself the kinda things I do were frowned upon. Now they're just common practice. Murder, theft, and even slavery are very common in the world and many choose to abide by them. My grandfather turned into a raider after the bombs dropped and my father before me was a raider. I've done some very bad things in my twenty-one years on this planet (quite old considering the average life expectancy of a human being these days). Then one day the government that had been hiding beneath the earth all these years decided to pay my bandit camp a visit. They killed most of my brothers and took away all of our slaves. Being the upstanding bandit I am, I fled as soon as the army busted in our front gate. As I was running, a bullet whizzed right through me and ended up causing me to pass out. I woke up in a civilian settlement called New Hope where apparently a storm was brewing. Survivors and all other sorts were gathering here to fight off the military. At this moment something came to back to life inside of me. I guess you could call it my conscience or my human sense of decency. I was indebted to these people who had used up their own supplies to save the life of a terrible person like me. I went back to the wreckage of my old camp the next day and managed to salvage some of my gear and weapons. I returned to New Hope with my AK-104 and my M-16 locked and loaded. Those government bastards ain't gonna catch me with my pants down this time. The folks around here call me Viking on account of my raider heritage and it seems to fit. If we can push back the military and keep New Hope intact, then maybe the world will have a fighting chance, and maybe I won't be going to Hell after all. A raider can only hope, right?

I HURT.  I HATE.  IVE GOT NOTHING TO LOSE.  Yeah, he's been like that ever since the blast.  He just won't  let it go, man.  And when I say "won't let it go", I mean WON'T let it go....he still carries her broken body with him on his travels.  It's plain creepy.  And even worse, you never know what he's thinking.  You just can't read him cuz he always wears that crazy lookIng mask.  I dont think he wears all that armor cuz he's afraid of dying, but rather cuz he's afraid he'll be shot before he's satisfied his need to avenge SVET.  Man, that guy really loved his SVET.  Looking at him now, it's kinda hard to imagine that he ever loved anything...other than killing.  Yeah he's pretty messed up in the head....you know, crazy.    What scares me the most is that the MILREM really wants this guy dead...and my buddies say he and I look EXACTLY alike...I don't wanna die like that, bro.. Don't let me be killed just cuz they wanna take out the CREEPER!!!!! it's not fair!!! HE'S the one you want!!!  Not ME!!!!!!............ARE YOU DONE?  ARE THERE ANY MORE WORDS OF A COWARD'S WISDOM THAT YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE?  I DIDN'T THINK SO...

For the past 5 years Aaron has been a guide, tracker and hunter in the wastelands for the town of New Hope and to the surrounding areas. He helps the town out by bringing in what he can kill with his rifle. It isn't much but it is better then nothing. Since the military have moved into the area and taking over more and more towns, he mostly goes out at night when he can sneak by their camp and patrols with relative ease. His father taught him how to move in the wild and make little to no sound. And before he died, gave him his rifle. He has kept it by his side ever since.

Commonly seen in some old, battered BDU pants, a brown, hooded jacket, and a green backpack slung across his back.

Weapons always on person:  SVD Dragunov and an M9 Beretta
Also know to carry an M4 carbine stolen from a military camp.

A sniper is at his most dangerous when the bullets stop flying, cause it's then that his enemies start coming out of their cover.

Break the chain of command, break their spirit, and then the leftovers will break themselves.

Who am i? The better question is who was i. Before they took it all, before i became the monster that  haunts the nightmares of a thousand sentries. I had it all, or at least all i could hope for, a family, food, even the occasional spell of electricity. Then it happened. They came, with their experiments and suits. They did not realize  that their experiments created a worse monster than the one they sought to  destroy.  They left me for dead, they shouldve made sure. Now my soul is as cold as the lead in my gun. i am a hunter. I seek not food but revenge. Ive followed them. All across this land. And spilled their blood. Now theyre headed into a fight. Looks like these guys at newhope have become more of an annoyanfe than they can bear. Looks like time to go to work, for the harvest is at hand but there are so few to take it in. A blood harvest. A reaping of revenge. Held above their heads.

Siezed contraband letter signed cd found by a military patrol near newhope
cd seems to refer to a shadowy figure of unknown origins caught on tape after the bombing of a military facility
Last seen wearing a combination of od green, tan, black
Commonly uses heavy weapons thought to be from preblast era, along with ak variants and a hunting rifle
Also seen with a backpack from time to time.

He has many names, few of them usable in polite society. But what is polite about society these days. We shall call him $parky. He travels, looking for a fight, a cause, anything to pass the time. He has banded together a small group of like minded Brutes and together they raise hell.

He wears jeans and t-shirts, a stolen OD tac-vest and carries an m4.....

Anchor

Before arriving at New Hope I was involved with an "organization" that would collect resources from the area.  Some of it was simply salvaging what we could from abandoned towns, but the majority of our supplies came from raidi..... borrowing things from settlements that had developed in this grim wasteland I call home.  We do as we please and take what want without caring who we take from.  I've been with these people since I was thirteen, back when I was brought here as a "helping hand".  I spent two years "helping" the people of the organization until one day someone showed up with the location of few boats that they found closed up inside of an enclosed dock.  When I told them that I was from a coastal settlement and could easily pilot any boat they found they were more than willing to let me join them in retrieving the boats.

When we went through the door into the enclosed dock I noticed that out of the four boats there, only two looked like they might even start.  But there was one in the back of building covered with a giant tarp.  I asked if anyone had cared to look under it to see what it was and I heard a few mumbles and a couple no's.  I went over and flung the tarp off and saw the most beautiful thing hiding underneath. It was a thirty footer with twin 350 outboard motors.  She was a white vessel and mounted on top was a M60 light machine gun. It had the words "Coast Guard" painted on each side of the boat.  I knew I had found one hell of a boat. We scrounged some spare parts from the other boats and then took off in our newly acquired vessel back towards camp, thankfully located on the river.  We returned to a crowd of people gathering around the shore to see the new treasure.  They stared in awe as we pulled up to the shore. As soon as stepped off the boat I was immediately re-shackled.  I asked why they wouldn't let me free to pilot the boat and they told me that I was not dedicated to the cause and that I would flee the first chance I had.  I told them to I would do what ever took to gain their trust.  At that, one of the camp leaders walked up on the boat, cut the anchor loose, and threw it into the river.  He looked at me and told me if I wanted to join his group, I would have to go in and get the anchor.  So I dove in.  After a few minutes of repeated diving and searching I came walking up the shore with the anchor under my arms. From that point on I have been treated as an equal if not superior too most of the men in the camp

I spent the next five years running up and down the river with a small force of raiders establishing our dominance in other villages, taking what we needed and sometimes a little more.  We eventually grew our fleet to a total of three boats, My boat, a small bass boat and an old pontoon boat used for hauling goods and the occasional "guest".  I believe our success in these excursions might have drawn the military to our small camp.

I remember the broadcast from our village the night the military attacked.  They were saying a large group of armed men were approaching the camp's walls waving a white flag. It wasn't until they were twenty feet away that their general gave the order to attack.  They overpowered the place almost instantly, breaking through our barricades, and killing everyone their. The last broadcast we heard was the sound of explosives taking down relay station.  We immediately turned around and raced back to the village.  When we got there it was too late.  They had destroyed everything. They killed everyone and left their bodies to bake in the sun. They wrecked every building we had, not even caring to take our supplies, just smashing them and moving on.  The men with decided it was time for them to leave in case they came back.  I took the M60 off of "Coast Guard" and told them to take the boats and go.  I found one survivor and he was barely breathing.  I recognized him almost instantly.  He was one of the best resource gatherers we had.  He would leave with a few empty trucks and come back loaded with supplies and "guests". He would be an exceptional ally if he could pull through. I put him on a makeshift sled and dragged him to this place, New Hope. I had heard about it from a few of the towns I had visited and decided that might be the only help I could find.

I was right. They took us in with open arms, quickly taking him off to some medical tent to be worked on, I told them what had happened to our camp.  They told me that a few of their scouts had spotted these men camping not too far away preparing for a possible attack. Finally, a chance to strike back against these cheap bastards.

Bio for new hope

My name is Keith Stone I was born under ground at a military facility, I was to be a soldier before I was even born I was good at it too I  learned quickly and moved up the ranks at a good pace. They kept us on a strict diet of ideology and propaganda to keep us on the straight and narrow. I don't remember how many camps I helped destroy no survivors was our SOP they could be infected or worse. We had been encountering stiffer resistance than normal Pops said it was because the filth were getting desperate I wasn't so sure but if Pops said it, it had to be true right? My squad was sent to take out a small village in preparation to move on a camp we had heard of called New Hope, little did we know they were waiting for us. It wasn't even close I had read about General Custer in class I imagine he and I shared the same sinking feeling that day. I took a large piece of shrapnel to the chest, when I woke up days later I was in tent that wasn't mine a kind woman was washing my face she had nursed me back to health after I had come to kill her. I found out over the next few weeks that after the battle they had brought me to the New Hope camp they shared their food, water and anything else I needed. I've never felt so foolish or ashamed in my life. I went to the one called Big John and told him everything I new, everything I was, and everything I had done they put me in a tent and told me to wait for my penance. I went willingly I deserved whatever they gave me. These people aren't monsters or inhuman they just want live like everyone else. After what seemed like forever Big John, Barricade, and some weird cat named Creeper came in to tell me how I would repay the people I tried to destroy. I was to lead them. They explained that the knowledge I had might be enough to tip the scales in their favor. I accepted but on the condition I would not take a formal title that was long behind me, they agreed and from that day on I was just Boss.

Weapons: my M4 a 9mm as a side arm
Kit: a leather Australian style cowboy hat, green hooded coat, old greasy bluejeans, and a battle belt I found.

Whoever reads this letter, know that i have bo remorse for my actions.. they will be repaid in kind
ive been hunting military targets for some time. At times it has heen easy, at times hard.. i find my hunting.... rather predictable these past few days. The first fighting at newhope has drawn much attention. The last sentry i killed had much in the way of valuable resources.. as i enjoyed his field rations last night i tapped into the military radio net.. my reciever is antiquated but occasionaly i can pick up the careless open bet comms.. everyone is heading to newhope, survivors, military, even a dew of the cursed ones who are only days from a mutant death.. i dont know yet why fate has brought me here, all i know is the deep cold i feel inside.. its as if i am become as the dead, seeking only to bring others into the fold.. maybe the fight at newhope can be.. useful to me.... it is an easy way to bring together large masses of my quarry.. at which point collateral damage is meaningless.. at one point this lack of concern for innocent life wouldve haunted me.. but now... i realize there is no such thing as innocence.. we are all at fault.. we destroyed ourselves. Now my candle dwindles.. the gear of killed military men soaked in their blood tends to smolder more than burn in the fire.. ive seen this many times.. so i leave you, reader,
cd

Found nailed to a tree, written on military dispatch paperstock. Twenty miles southwest of newhope.
