I'd have to leave her as she is, and let her age naturally.

It's not the years....  It's the miles......

Man, that is like taking a die grinder & sandpaper to a new car, it just should not be done.

have you tried this?
it does the job well, looks good and is easily reversible.

Here is a gun done with it.

That's the kind of stuff they use to make plastic guns look like worn metal, right?  Yeah Id prolly use that on a plastic gun, but I ALWAYS distress my metal guns!  They just look more realistic to me!

Before yall yand anything, im gonna get a tube and try it out on my ak and full metal luger, the ak is scratched and worn.. but plastic is the same color all the way through.. the luger.. just needs to look old no matter what..also i can see an added benifit.. it covers the metal, and by the time you wear it off the guns distressed anyways

Bravo: That's some good input!  How durable is that paint?

Cloak:  I'm gonna wait and see how that works out on your AK.

That paint could certainly come in handy!  But I'm a little weird about the distressed look... Well, I'm actually weird about LOTS of things... But check out SVETLANA in this purdy pic!:

It's amazing that in the right light you can't see all the duct tape, superglue or bubble gum holding Svetlana together!

My daughter goes to the Mississippi school of art in Brookhaven, she showed me the stuff.

I have used it on the edges of my m4  magwell, and on the edges of my rear sight & my carrying handle.

The rear sight assembly on the m4 is a different metal than the carrying handle, when used on it, it blends the 2 metals together better and protects the cheap paint on the sight with an extra layer .

Once dry, it is fairly durable,
the pewter finish one ads just the right tint for aluminum & steel applications.

That's a bright AK. I think you removed a little too much finish, or left it out in a sandstorm.

Use #104 for an ak...
It can always serve as a signal mirror when you get lost.

Just kidding.
