Hey fellas,

So I have a question/concern about my current setup. I have a KWA SR7. Went I went on my airsoft binge a couple of months back, I purchased the King Arms Carbine Clubfoot Mod Stock (link below). I was getting one of my good buddies to put the stock on the gun while I was away, but as far as he could see, it could not be done, for one very specific reason - KWA's new fuse system. If you're familiar with the new KWA fuse system, you know the fuse is now installed at the rear of the stock, making KWA's stock - from what I can tell - a very unique stock. My question to you is - is it, in fact, impossible to install this mod stock on the KWA?

(Sorry if it's vague. I'll do my best to fill in details if I can.)

Thanks!

Ive dealt with KWA's incompatibility issues myself....but that was with a first gen M16BR.  Personally, I think that's a VERY nice stock you bought and I think it be worth losing or relocating the fuse just to keep it!  That is of course, if it PHYSICALLY can be attached.  If it's only the fuse stopping you, Id just lose it or move it!    Hopefully some other guys will chime in with a more practical solution! Lol

Kwa does have a semi unique stock system, but if the mod stock will fit on your buffer tube you can easily replace the fuse holder with a smaller automotive type, but like i said only if the modstock fits on the buffer tube.. now wiring your gun to the front is another option, depending on your  battery it could go inside the foregrip or in a rail mounted peq box. Option three is an external batt setup with a dangle cable.. if you need any help feel free to pm me

The stock actually came with its own buffer tube, so that shouldn't be an issue, I wouldn't think. The stock actually has two small compartments for mini-type batteries, though it is an extremely tight fit, almost to where you have to yank the batteries (if there were a fix for this, I'd be all ears!)! I'm AEG-internals illiterate, so I don't even know if the fuse is required or what. Wiring to the front is out of the question for me. I could go with a battery pouch on the side of the stock, if there were a configurable way to do it on this stock.

Let me do research but you might not even need that fuse.  I run my gun without one and its a lipo.  But let me find out first....

The Fuse is HIGHLY suggested but not required.  I cut them all out of mine.  They just protect your Motor and wiring.  I do however, on occasions, have the wire get to Melting Hot trying to cycle the internals.  KWA keeps there products "Special" so people have to purchase special parts just from them.  If you dont want the Special parts, then you basically have to do a complete make over in areas that 2 special parts meet.  For instance, the Air Nozzle and Hopup in the KWA, you have to order KWA parts or replace BOTH hop up and Air Nozzle for them to work again.  The Air nozzle has a fin and the Hop up has a groove for the fin to go in making a alignment and Seal.

Questions:
Can the Buffer tube be mounted to the gun?
Where is the fuse exactly located? Is it in the Receiver?

The best answer may be, if you want to keep the fuse, you will just have to move it further to the back of the gun, closer the battery connector.  This assuming that the buffer tube and stock can be mounted at this point if the fuse is in the way.

If I could take pictures of all this stuff and get more detailed with it I would; unfortunately I will not be able to do that for another month or so. I'm just kicking around the idea of getting it on there when I get home or just scrubbing it and seeing about selling the stock altogether.

Unfortunately, I will still be in Baghdad. I will be home in mid-March, so if I cannot figure it out by the first game after I get back, I'll be sure to have it all with me.

I will be at the APGOB game on March 27 and the Bumrush game on April 2, and will have my weapon and stock with me at both events if anyone will be there (and have the time) to look at it for me. I can pay for services rendered. My solution to all things in life: throw money at it.
