Me and giggles decided to buy a kapowwe mystery box, long touted as the best on the market, so we waited until the live cam in their boneyard showed a brimming supply of aegs, placed our orders, sat on our hands for three days and waited. It arrived.. in anticipation i ripped into it and the tribulation began. Inside was
1 spring pistol (in a gas pistol box) 1plastic helmet 1 Fugly crap camo hat 1 bag of g&g bio bbs 1 childs neoprene mask 1 thigh rig no name holster 1 trickle charger 1 novelty garter 1 non working famas without battery or mag.
Paid for 30 pounds of shipping, but box was only 12.8 DOES NOT MEET THE CRITERIA FOR EVEN 1 STAR RATING DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!!! you will not get the parts guns you needed or the easily fixed aegs touted in the reviews. the last few ppl i know that bought one had the same experience!!

The fact of the mystery box is that they can not put good stuff in a package all the time. They will make tons of money on this and yes some will get lucky and get Something AWESOME! However, it looks like you got the shaft on the gamble. Its not anything that I would do. Only reason I will not do it, is because I had rather spend the money on something I know I will like lol.

How much did the complete gamble cost? It would have been nice if there was a hopup chamber kit for a RS Dragunov SVD in there!

I know I have the same issues with EVIKE shipping being WAY to HIGH as well. They say that the shipping is set through UPS, but UPS is not stupid about how much it cost. I know a 7 lb box cost us like $35 and a most recent order said about 3 LBs for around $22. I can get a 40 LB package from Cali for around $31. Shipping should start out at around $10 and slowly go up on weight.

So here is what's up. I personally have bought 5 of the kapowwe mystery boxes and my brother in law has bought 4 or 5 and a couple guys in ms-tac have bought 3. All of those 12-13 were AWESOME they had on average 3 AEGs(some had 4 or 5) + pistols + other stuff. I loved those boxes and I have spoken highly of them. Then a couple months ago they ran out of stock on their camera and for 3 months or so I had not bought any. Then within the last couple weeks restocked and announced "The mystery box is back". Since then I know two people that got boxes(Cloak and my brother in law) and both were terrible. So for some reason whoever is filling the boxes has changed the way they do things and it is no longer a good deal and should not be purchased. I am going to send them a email tonight about how disappointed I am in them for advertising(with the reviews of previous customers) one type of product and then switching to another without changing the product description and taking down the reviews. I think this is very dishonest and a terrible way to do business. They have lost my business and I suggest if you have or were thinking about buying from them, don't.

My co-worker just bought one last week and had the same experience. 12-13lbs of stuff when advertised as 30lbs.
The UPS tag even had 30lbs listed on it.
Isn't there something against the law about saying we are going to ship you 30lbs of stuff and only shipping 12? The sale was for 30lbs not 12lbs.

Guess you should have told them that you wanted 30lbs of stuff in your 30lb box.
Did you call them and ask about it?

We are in the process of contacting them, via email to their customer service dept. It doesne seem that were alone. Chairsoft press has an article which reviewed the product a year or so ago, and ppl post comments as to what they got. The kost recent round of mystery boxes were all like ours, sugyesting some sort of shift in quality from kapowwe. We are in contact with the article author about it as well, as he is trying to re vamt the article to reflect what has happened.
