Okay so the main issue with night time airsoft is the worry of shooting another player at a to close range. I have an idea, we use glow sticks 2 per player 1 tied to the front of you and 1 on your back and a different color for each team and a red one to hold over your head has a dead rag. Since our issue is not being able to see each other this would fix that problem and glow sticks last for HOURS and there cheep dollar tree has them a yellow and a green in a 2 pack and 1 red pack. Its cheep and used with the right respawn fix it should work. This is still just an idea so any input is welcome

Works, good idea, till the first doucebag realizes he can get more kills by pocketing his lights and digging in under a bush....

I just thought about the glow stick being hit by a bb and if it would break tested at about 15 ft with .20s at 460-480 fps just left little dents nothing bad

I like the thought of being able to see where my enemy is. but i don't like the idea of them seeing me.  I think i would be the doucebag hiding in the bushes like cloak said.  I would wait for you to come by just because i could see you and you couldn't see me.  This is also just my opinion, but it kinda defeats the purpose of running a night op. It's supposed to be more difficult at night.  Maybe what you could do is have the glow sticks, and when you get shot, then you would use the red one to indicate that you were hit.  Peace outside!!!!

One thing already going for our night ops is most of us dont have night vision devices, so unless we want to crawl round and not see a soul we use flashlights. Night gaming thus takes on a hunt or be hunted aura, but close ins will occur.. its just tbe nature of the dark, it happens un real war, and is just one of those inevitable tbings. I do like the nightstick idea (i believe some armed forces training has used it), so we should consider something like this, although id suggest a mini lightstick (like fishermen use on night bobbers) attached to your hat or back of your collar. The idea is to give target range without shining like a beacon ready to take first fire.

If your going to wear lights that defeats the whole propose of playing at night. If the complaint is that you can't see your opponent then perhaps we should play during daylight hours.

Almost every night game I have tried to play has been cancelled in the fear of not being able to see eachother and someone getting shot to close, Thats how I got the idea I mean people hide in brush all the time during day time fights and you can't see them but they can see you half the time anyway this would just take away the fear of someone getting shot at 5 ft with a heavily upgraded gun and most every op with a night battle is talking about putting up lights to play under so I don't see how this defeats the propose of playing at night when that would even more. Like I said its just an idea I didn't expect anyone to grab it and throw it in an op the day I posted it I figured some people would have thoughts on it and this way we might get something going and be able to play airsoft at night more

my opinion is: use CQB rules for night games. every gun shooting 400 fps or lower with .2s will be allowed. this includes pistols. yes 400 fps sounds like a lot, but if your worried about it, just wear body armor. man up.

If your going to play a night game it must be understood that a certain amount of pain must be endured. I tend to agree with echo on this one if your gonna do it man up. The whole idea of a night game is to have a distinct advantage/disadvantage over others.

PS. I'm not trying to be mean or confrontational just stating my opinion.

iv played many night games and if there is anything about playing in the dark, its to not be seen, especially if your like me and go crazy with a 250 lumens flashlight. If you got the night vision bring it
