Hey guys,
If you went to the op, you know what happened.  I like the field it was pretty cool.  The heat was pretty bad to be hiking up the massive hills.  I liked the rocket launchers and the IEDs, very cool. Rating this game between a 1 and 10, I give it a 4.  I just wasn't impressed with the unsportsman like conduct.  enough said.

I wish I could have gone but I'm just now getting into Alabama headed south on my way home.

I wouldn't put any fault on the game hosts, and I know you didn't, but what happened?  Was it a hit-calling issue, or an aggression issue, or profanity maybe?  Im only asking in public because hopefully, it's something we can address and resolve before the next MtDoom event.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the event.  Unfortunately, we can't control the players and we are not sur if we are willing to continue trying to host games.  Just too much work goes into preparation for those who can't play honorably to destroy the experience in minutes.  Again, I apologize for a bad experience.

Bravo, PLEASE don't stop hosting games!  This has always been the key problem in our sport!  But it's time we put ALL of heads together and come up with a solution!  I have suggested SEVERAL ways over the years to maybe not remedy, but at least minimize this problem.  But every time I have been blown off by everyone who "doesn't see this as a real problem".. If we put our heads together, we can solve this issue.   We just have to take the time and start coming up with ideas.

I agree with barricade. Bravo and Madrule host an awesome event. perhaps "hiring" some field reps to help with the calling hits issue. My first AOW, an issue (dont remember what it was) happened and those peeps got kicked out real quick. it will only take a couple of times for peeps to get kicked out for not playing honorably before everyone calls hits.

here is the problem. people need to police thier buddies. ie. i expect my DSA guys to say something to me if they think I'm not calling my hits (once everyone calms down). same thing for the alabama players.

I won't say Ariana doesnt have peeps that wont call hits, b/c thats the side i usually play on and thus dont see it. but corona is notorious for this issue, IMO.

I've heard different solutions. from upping the FPS and lowering the MED to field reps.  I have a big issue with upping FPS/lowering MED, and escalation of force.

the current FPS/MED are in place for safety.

One of the great things (and yet one of the biggest problems) is that this game is based on HONOR. When I feel I can't play with HONORABLE people anymore, it will be time for me to find a new hobby.

I liked the field, it was a great experience for me and I got a lot of ideas for improving our field in stonewall. Also learned that either I'm horribly out of shape or those hills are just that steep. I'm sure a game there in the winter would be a lot nicer. Game admins were awesome, and the plot was great.

My complaint is basically the same as the rest. People not calling hits. And all of a sudden me putting the pain on them isn't working. Cause I made one fella bleed and all he did was duck and rub it then shoot back. It destroys it for me. And there's no point in playing if it's gonna be like that. Bravo and madrule please don't think that it is any issue I have with y'all. But the unsportsmanlike conduct is something we ALL have to put our heads together and try to fix.

Madrule and I don't believe your issue is with us personnally but to run an event and have this issue destory the experience for those who attend creates an issue for us to deal with.  We have tried several things but none have worked.  We are frustrated.  There are months of prep work to make a good story line and complete the required props and then in side of 5 minutes the whole game goes to hell.  We are trying to find another option and think we will be in a stand down mode until we can come up with something.

I don't blame you. It's disheartening when an issue like this escalaids to such proportions.

no its not just you. those are not hills. those are mountains. Smiley  last game i went to we went around the main trails and went down, up, down, up, down. we are talking a 45 degree incline minimum and at least 100 yards. i was almost dead at the end.

Guys,
If I shoot someone and they bleed, I wouldn't be quiet about them doing the rub/duck/keep playing routine.
If you have absolute proof that your BB hit em they are out.

If ya keep quiet, there are no repercussions to their actions.

I've seen BBs bounce off packs/loose shirts etc and didn't mention it because I knew the other guy didn't feel it.
But if you see someone react to getting shot and they brush it off, they need to be called on it and removed from play if they don't correct it.
