Hostile Fire Downed Coronan Helicopter
Published: Thursday, July 30, 2011

TULO — A Coronan Chinook helicopter that crashed in eastern Tulo was probably shot down by hostile fire, and the fate of 17 Coronans aboard - including special forces troops - is unclear, the Coronan military said Wednesday. The Phelan Liberation Group claimed it attacked the aircraft.

The troops were on a mission against Phelan Liberation Group fighters when the helicopter went down Tuesday in a swampy region in Tulo Province.

"Initial reports indicate the crash may have been caused by hostile fire," a Coronan military statement said. "The status of the service members is unknown at this time."

Rescue operations were hampered by Arianan aircraft patrolling and the stormy weather near of the crash site. The site appears reachable only by foot, officials said.

The crash Tuesday occurred after three months of unprecedented fighting that has killed about 465 suspected insurgents, 29 Coronan. troops, 43 Cordovan police and soldiers and 125 civilians.

The downed military helicopter - believed to be an MH-47, a special operations variant of the CH-47 Chinook - was carrying S.O.B. troops to a firefight, one official said. Another said it was carrying special operations forces but was unsure if they were SEALs or from another unit. The officials spoke from Secara on the condition of anonymity because rescue operations are still under way.

The helicopter was carrying forces into the area as part of Operation Snot Locker against Phelan Liberation Group militants, the military said.

"Coalition troops on the ground in this area came in contact with enemy forces and requested additional forces to be inserted into this operation," a Coronan military spokesman, Colonel James Yovitts, said at a news conference.

In Secara, the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Parker, said the incident "appears to be a shootdown of one of our special operations helicopters" and was under investigation."We think it was a rocket-propelled grenade, sir, but not 100 percent sure," Parker told a Parliment committee during a hearing on his nomination to be chairman of the joint chiefs.

The governor of the province said the Phelans downed the aircraft with a rocket. He gave no other details.

A purported Phelan spokesman, Willie Walkman, telephoned The Associated Press before news of the crash was released and said the rebels had shot the helicopter down.  He said the rebels filmed the attack and would release the video to the media. He also claimed that rebels killed seven Coronan soldiers in an attack in the same area, although a Coronan spokeswomen said no such attack had been made on an Coronan convoy.

Walkman often calls news organizations to claim responsibility for attacks on behalf of the Phelans. His information has sometimes proved untrue or exaggerated, and his exact tie to the group's leadership is unclear.

Ariana reports: Corona helicopter shot down

By Michael Baumhauser, Published: August 3, 2011

Secara — Corona acknowledged Tuesday that it had lost contact with one of its transport helicopters, as Arianan state television broadcast pictures of what it said was an alliance transport helicopter that had been shot down.

Arianan television said the images were of an Chinook transport helicopter. A Coronan spokesman said a “transport helicopter with 18 personnel onboard” lost radio contact at 9:20 a.m. local time. He did not say whether it had crashed or it had been shot down.

“We are currently looking into the reasons behind this incident,” said Wing Commander Mike Bracken, the spokesman. He said that to date no Chinook helicopters had been lost in the conflict in Cordova.

State television said the helicopter had been downed in the vicinity of a rebel stronghold. It broadcast images of a wrecked Chinook airframe with a red rotor and English-language markings.

Corona gives green light to extradite War Criminal

August 12, 2011 | World News | Written by Shilpa

Secara, August 5(ANI): Alleged war criminal Julio Salvador will be extradited from Corona after the country’s officials have given a green signal for his deportation.

Salvador has yielded little information about terrorist activities since his capture in Tulo earlier this year, a senior Coronan official has said.

Cordova’s Attorney General said a team sent to Tulo about two months ago had already obtained vital information about his involvement in numerous war crimes.

Salvador, who has led the Ariana Mountain Rangers, was captured in Tulo on April 23.
It is believed Salvador wil provide vital information about a range of military and terrorist activities and networks in the region.

The Attorney General said Cordova has taken its time with Salvador’s deportation so as not to jeopardize the case against him.

“The government of Cordova is in the process of transferring Julio Salvador from Corona. But there is no time-frame. We have to make sure of the detail. If we fail to comply with the procedure, then we will fail at the court,” he said.

Guys,

We have worked with the Hosts and Land Owners to identify the Field Safety, Medic and Re-spawn Rules.

Safety Rule:

1. We will be using Charlie Foxtrot's Safety Rule that are linked Here:   CLICK HERE
The only exception is that the Land Owner permits Ballistic approved Safety Glasses.

2. We will be using the Medic and Casualty Evac rules that are used by Charlie Foxtrot and linked here: CLICK HERE
Make sure that you are familiar with these rules and bring an appropriate Medic cord. We will have some for sale at the game but not enough for everyone.

Um question, will Digi woodland be allowed as woodland for the ariana side? I already ordered the jacket and pants for the op and had hopes on being on the ariana side with most of my teammates. I really hope i will be allowed to do so....seeing that i already ordered it.
