Ive used multitools since i was big enough to open one. From coleman to leatherman to no name chinese knockoffs, and even my beloved swiss army knives. All had their good points and bad, but recently i picked up what i believe is the closest to a perfect multitool to ever grace the handymans belt.

Leatherman company has recently been producing some realy great products, so i hopped on the bandwagon and bought a leatherman skeletool, the third leatherman  ive ever owned (the other two were just to big and heavy to be practical).
All i can say after carrying this tool for a week is WOW I SHOULDVE BOUGHT ONE OF THESE A LONG TIME AGO!
sure, it doesnt pack all tht features of my most recent favorite, the flik, but when i look back, when did i ever just ust the scissors, wood saw, extra serrated blade or plethora of flathead screwdrivers?

Simplicity is beauty, and the skeletool is just that, robustly simple. It sports a wicked sharp blade, interchangeable screwdriver bits, botyle opener, and the traditional pliers/wire cutted/stripper. It also boasts an incredible size and weight. It is smaller than my  favorite large pocket clip knife, and because it has a belt clip the skeletool has taken this knives place as well.

So, the flik has taken its place in my knife display case, and the skeletool is in. All hail leatherman, for creating such an awesome product.

Geez!  Wouldn't you need a backpack, or at least a reinforced drop leg pouch to carry that thing?!
