THE CONTROL: BLACK ONLY.  

NOMADICS:  ANY MILITARY CAMO PATTERNS.   IT IS  ENCOURAGED TO UTILIZE CURRENT MILITARY GEAR AND WEAPONS. 

APACHES:  ANY COMBINATION OF SOLID COLORS.  POUCHES AND TACTICAL GEAR IN CAMO PATTERNS ARE ALLOWED, BUT YOUR TOPS AND BOTTOMS MUST BE A SOLID COLOR.  MIXING OF TOP/BOTTOM COLORS IS   OKAY.  FULL COVERAGE VESTS IN CAMO PATTERNS ARE NOT ALLOWED.  ANTIQUE AND/OR FORIEGN WEAPONS ENCOURAGED.  

RESPAWN:  MEDIC WITH DROPDEAD BACKUP. (THIS WILL BE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL BEFORE THE GAME)

TEAM DIVISIONS:  WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU GUYS SPLIT UP AND PLAY ALONGSIDE PLAYERS THAT YOU'D NORMALLY BE PLAYING AGAINST.  A "MIXER" OP, OF SORTS.  THIS IDEA IS ENCOURAGED, BUT NOT NECESSARY.

They say the Earth has died.  They say our skies have fallen.  They say we have to get used to the yellowish orange color above us, and that we will never see blue again.  They also say that only 15 percent of the world's population survived that day...but we have no way of knowing for sure.  I'm starting to wonder if anyone even cares.  

   I sometimes wonder how the ancient civilizations managed to progress as humans.  Was it because they had no previous memory of a time when things were much better?  Would Thomas Edison  even bothered to invent the light bulb  if he knew that "zero point energy" or "light without heat" had existed just ten years previously?  I doubt he would have even tried.  Maybe 100 years from now, if we make it that long.... once we've forgotten what we once had; we will try again.  But for now, nobody cares.  Nobody is concerned with reinventing the laptop computer when we don't even know where our next meal is coming from....or if you'll even wake up tomorrow.  

Ya know, you'd think those idiotic politicians who started the last war would have had the guts to died alongside their people, but we know they didn't.  Word has it they ran for the hills; or UNDER them, rather.  Yeah, all those rumors we heard about the giant, underground military installations were true.  And it's wasn't just the United States.  Russia, China, and couple other countries had done the same.  They say it was necessary for, get this, the "continuation of government at all costs"... Like anyone other than the cowardly  politicians wanted that anyway.  Either way, the government still exists on a small level.  But again, no one cared...until now.  

  I live in what used to be Mississippi.  I've been here my entire life, but a lot of the people around me were from other parts of "our great nation".   They all tell of their attempts to survive in other areas but were eventually pushed to the southeast.   Down here, our water, soil, and plant life had only been contaminated minimally when compared to other other areas.  A few crops would still grow, and our water, where you could find it, would take a little longer to kill you.  The newcomers never had much to offer us other than weapons and a little gasoline they had collected on their way.  We gladly exchanged our resources for their weapons,  and began to train ourselves, because we knew it was only a matter of time.... 

   Twelve years have passed since "the war" and the ten year supply of rations the government had stockpiled for itself has run dry.   They have begun to recruit and militarize nomadic "gangs" to scavenge for them.   Before, these gangs would kill, steal, and burn their way thru any survivor community they found; taking anything that was of use to them.    Now, they do the same, but with the consent (and weapons) of our former government.  Whereas before, they carried clubs and knives;  they now carry M16s and Ak47s.  We are told that the regrouping government ( who many call "THE CONTROL")  is centralized in the largest of underground bunkers located under the remains of the Denver Intl Airport.  Realizing that there is literally nothing left to the west of them, THE CONTROL begins to send their newly trained NOMADICS  towards the southeast in search of resources.  Some of the more highly trained NOMADICS could even pass for the old US MARINES, thanks to their uniforms, weapons they carried, and the tactics taught to them by THE CONTROL.   The real U.S. soldiers who went underground before the blast,  remained as "bodyguards" for THE CONTROL.  

   Its strange how history repeats itself.  Only a couple hundred years ago, we Americans pushed the native Indians off their land in search of resources and to gain territory.  Now, the ones who call themselves "Americans",  are headed our way.  Once again, they plan to drive the "natives" off their land; taking what they want and killing whoever tries to stop them.  They know that a resistance awaits them in the southeast.  They know that resistance is growing and that they have no intention of giving up their land.    So THE CONTROL, in honor of their sadistic pride, have nicknamed us.......the APACHES.  

  When they arrive,  they will offer us  "a new beginning".

  If we lay down our weapons, they will offer us, "a new creation".  

If we take up arms, and stand as APACHES,  they will offer us ........."OPERATION: GENESIS"

NOMADIC OBJECTIVES

1. SCOUT

The NOMADICS must first scout and provide photo intel and location coordinates of the APACHE ANTI-TANK ARTILLERY.  NOMADIC  team leader must assign a 5-7 man team for this task.  This team will be given orders NOT to engage enemy unless threatened. Photo intel may be obtained with camera phone, digital camera, or even polaroid film.  Once obtained, photos intel must be visually confirmed by NOMADIC team leader.  

2.  DESTROY APACHE ANTI-TANK ARTILLERY 

  The APACHES have an anti-tank weapon that must be taken out before the NOMADICS can move their tank on the APACHE base.   It will be up to the NOMADIC  TEAM LEADER to decide how many operatives are left to guard the base and how many are sent to overtake ANTI-TANK weapon.  

3.  MOVE ON APACHE BASE

The APACHES have two choices: 1. Succumb to our NOMADIC rule and lay down their weapons. Or..
2. DIE 
The APACHE base is more high tech than our previous intel stated.  It is strategically located and will be heavily guarded and difficult to overtake.  ACV/TANK assault is recommended. To overtake the base, all operatives guarding the base must be eliminated and at least 3 NOMADIC  operatives must occupy the base for five minutes.  

4. FINAL OBJECTIVE

The final objective details  will maintain unknown to BOTH teams until orders are released by THE CONTROL.  Inter-team communications will be crucial in receiving/executing  these orders.

APACHE OBJECTIVES.

  The APACHES need ammo for their tank (ACV), as well their anti-tank artillery.   Eliminate any NOMADICS guarding the cache, and return to the APACHE base with procured ammo.  It will be up to the APACHE TEAM LEADER to decide how many operatives are left to guard the base and how many are sent to overtake the cache.  

3.  MOVE ON NOMADIC BASE

The NOMADICS are not here to make peace.  Their mobile base/HQ will be heavily guarded and difficult to overtake.  ACV/TANK assault is recommended. To overtake the base, all operatives guarding the base must be eliminated and at least 3 APACHE operatives must occupy the base for five minutes.  

4. FINAL OBJECTIVE

THE CONTROL: PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE.  

THE CONTROL, while written in the story as the leadership sector of the NOMADICS, will actually be ADMIN/REFS that are ACTIVELY involved in gameplay.  At the moment, THE CONTROL is slated to have 6 members, but that is subject to change in accordance to game attendance.   They will NOT be wearing orange vests, but will EASILY be recognizable in their SOLID BLACK loadouts.  Members of THE CONTROL will be announced soon.  Full details about their purpose will FULLY explained in the pre-game  briefing.

MEDIC WITH "DROPDEAD" BACKUP

EXPLAINED:
OPGEN  will NOT utilize  respawn locations.  Instead, EVERY player will be a medic for other players.  Weird? Probably, but hear me out.    In past ops, we have seen that players like medic respawns, BUT, there are NEVER enough medics to make it work right.  To "medic" a downed player, you simply tie a WHITE (yes, it needs to be white) strip of cloth or rope (WHITE ONLY!)  around your "injured" bud's arm and he's back in business!  Second time? Tie one on his OTHER arm.   Third time? He is "DEAD"...player must lay, sit, or kneel (not stand) for 10 FULL minutes (this wait period may be shortened if we have low attendance) with his RED deadrag in plain view.  Once his 10 minutes are up, he must walk at least 100 paces AWAY from the action with his deadrag still on, put way the deadrag, and resume play.  It's not nearly as hard as it sounds!   
  
SNIPERS AND "LONERS"
  Obviously, these guys won't have anyone around to medic them back in, so if you are "killed" in a remote location with no team members in sight, just do a 7 minute DROPDEAD RESPAWN and resume play.   

Players will be expected to bring their own white strips of cloth or rope. 

Remember, THE CONTROL members  are ADMIN/REFS.  They will be watching like hawks for calling hits and will also have a method to ENFORCE this.  This method will be explained in game briefing.

THE CONTROL and their NOMADIC troops are getting closer.  11 days from STONEWALL is the current estimate provided by HAM radio operators in the colonies near the path of the convoy.  The NOMADICS  have been plagued by equipment failure, lack of existing infrastructure, and sickness.  I remember years ago, you could cross this "great" nation in three days at the most.  Now, it's reminiscent of the wagon trail days of centuries ago; taking weeks, if not months to make a journey of that length.  Hopefully, more NOMADICS will succumb to disease and hunger before they reach us.  
  The APACHE troops are readying themselves as we speak. They seem uneasy about the number of troops that are rumored to be on the move, but at the same time, they have never been so ready.  And why wouldn't they be?  They are fighting for their families, their land, their resources, and ultimately, their pride.  I'm seeing an anger rising in them that I never dreamed possible of these simple, easy-going southerners.  They have morphed into fire-breathing, soul-crushing WARRIORS.  
  
  My name is Eli, and being too old to fight, I have offered my services as a HAM radio operator to the APACHES.  My duty in our colony is to relay messages via a modified morse code for THE APACHES.  Every now and then, I get requests by troops to relay messages to family members in other areas.  I don't normally talk about the things I'm asked to send, but this one letter really got to me.  It was from a young soldier  that is being sent out to engage the first strands of NOMADICS entering the area.  Here are his words:
   ""They are coming for us for our home’s our food our water for us, they hid while we burned and died and now they think they can just walk onto our land and take what’s ours? I don’t think so. These people these NOMADICS that our so called “Government” is sending to take our land will rue the day they cross the APACHES.  I like the name The Control has given us it fits and we bare it with pride we will not lose our land we will not surrender we will not give up we will crush these NOMADICS and we will do the same to anyone The Control sends and the next after that we will die with our head’s held high knowing WE defended our homes and our family’s and we will never be forgotten we are the APACHES."

I write this in hopes that the plight of the APACHES will never be forgotten; that the blood they spill will not be without reason.   I know in my heart that a place in Heaven has already been set aside for these APACHE warriors.  May the CONTROL live to regret the day they sent their NOMADICS to MISSISSIPPI!!

LAST MINUTE REMINDERS 

I thought I'd post these important points of OPGEN so that we are all on the same page. 

1. RESPAWN
   Everyone needs two white pieces of rope or cloth about 18-24 inches long.  First hit, get a buddy to medic you by tying a strip around your arm.  Second hit, SAME process.  Third hit, you're DEAD.  Sit, kneel, or even fall where you were it.  Put on you deadrag in plain view.  Wait 10 mins ( you can hydrate or reload during this time).  After 10 mins (bring a watch) are up, raise your deadrag over your head and walk or run AT LEAST 100 yards AWAY from the action.  Please don't try to "come back in" behind enemy lines or at any advantage point.  The CONTROL will be watching you!  

2. ROCKETS/CANNONS
   Until we have a better idea as to how this is going to work, rockets and cannons will be used against tanks/ACVs ONLY.  There will be an additional table set up near the registration area that will be manned by CLOAKNDAGGER.   He will need to see and approve ALL unusual weapons such as rockets, grenades, cannons, "flamethrowers",  or better said, anything that's NOT a conventional AEG, pistol, or sniper rifle normally used in airsoft. 

3. PLEASE be sure to keep your loadout colors in accordance to your team.  We would really prefer that no one has to wear an armband.  This includes CONTROL members...80% black AT LEAST, guys!  

4. SHOW UP READY!  We are trying to set up THREE lines for registration.  With the potential of over 100 players attending, we REALLY need to guys to help us make this speedy so that we can start on time!  Have your waiver, money, and gun ready to Chrono! 

5.  NO EYEPRO, NO PLAY, NO EXCEPTIONS.  

6.  BUDDY SYSTEM:  guys, if
You've never been to this field, know this:  IT'S BIG.  If you don't wanna play with your team, PLEASE stick with a buddy that has a radio!!  It would be EASY to get lost, and since some people may need to leave early, we can't do a head count to make sure we all made it out!  So find a buddy and stick together!  

7. MEDICAL CONDITIONS:  if you have a medical condition we should be aware of, briefly explain your condition in writing on the back of your waiver and tell the person taking the waivers that you have done so.  

8. ETIQUETTE.  Guys, we know tempers flare sometimes, but please keep your cool.  THE CONTROL are there to help.  Instead of confronting anyone, tell the nearest CONTROL member and let him handle it. There is a REASON for having so many refs! They have the LAST word in any dispute.  Also, a group from the Mississippi Preparedness Project.org will be in attendance, so BEHAVE!   They are interested in our sport as it may serve as a valuable training tool for them.  LOOK SHARP!  

9. PROFANITY:  I understand words skip sometimes, but excessive use of profanity will NOT be tolerated.  

10. STICK TO THE PLAN:  this event's objectives are designed to be carried out in chronological order.  Trying to skip objective #2, for example, will NOT help your team's cause, and may make you look like a dummy.

Waivers!! They are your responsibility! Have one to get in, have two to make a friend, bring a stack if you have a tendancy to get into the midst of the worst position you could possibly think of and need an extraction team!

Pyro ordnance.
If you are using a pyro grenade, especialy ones we havent ever heard of or homemade ones be prepared to detonate one at registration. 

Ordnance.
If youre shooting anything harder than nerf balls out of your cannon, you will be required to shoot your own car with it at registration.
When registering ordnance please have a person(s) who are approved operators of your equipment with you when you reg.
