As many of you know, I've wanted an ACV (as I call it) for quite a while. While everyone else seems to call it a "tank", I just can't call anything without tracks a TANK!!  To me, it's an ACV, or AIRSOFT COMBAT VEHICLE.   Well I acquired this 98 DODGE 4x4 back in August, and I've been slowly working on it ever since.  I started with repairs for the sake of legality and reliability.  So it's first round of mods weren't very airsoft oriented, but necessary.

For "other than BOA teams", don't get too excited, I'm still keeping her weapons specs TOP SECRET until she finally debuts at OPERATION GENESIS!

This is the truck when I got it:

After a new windshield, 35x10 mud tires with some SERIOUS tread (hard to intimidate when you're stuck), and lots of unseen smaller parts and minor stuff done:

I had the front bumper chopped to serve as support for all the "MAD MAX" style accessories that will soon adorn the front end:

The front end rear bumpers will soon be sanded and "Rhino-lined".   The wheels will be painted black as well.  I wrestled with the idea of repainting with camo, but I have put that on the back burner for now.

Other future projects will include protection for the new windshield, radiator, and all plastics.
Armor? Yes.
Weapons? Yes.
Ability to turn the tides of war? ABSOLUTELY!

I WISH it would look like the one with all the M134s on it!!  And it's a DODGE too!!

But here's the update:

Bumpers sprayed with bed liner and the expanded steel screen loosely in place.  It too, will be sprayed with bedliner spray. But here's what we've got:

Those things are VERY cool, but you know how it goes....we need Something that makes an obvious hit to the tank or the driver may not realize ACV has been hit.   Nothing worse than a TANK not calling its hits!
