The following is a thread i started on mississppipreparrednessproject.org.
It's a camo comparison using OUR photos and OUR area of Mississippi. Enjoy.
Here's what we have learned from AIRSOFT as it pertains to the effectiveness of different camo patterns in our area of Mississippi.
I love this pic. On the right is a guy in WOODLAND MARPAT, and on te left is a guy in ACUs...the difference is night and day.

IMHO, the three best patterns for our area are as follows:
1. Woodland MARPAT
2. MULTICAM
3. XCAM
then, follow it with
4. WOODLAND BDU
5. German FLECKTARN
6. TIGER STRIPE
ME in tiger stripe. Tiger really only seemed to work well when it had been raining and everything wet gets darker:

XCAM...a kind of "digitalized" multicam, works great in our area:

WOODLAND BDU: more effective in the greener months in Mississippi. On a side note, OLD, FADED, woodland camo works much better than brand new uniforms:

ANY amount of black is a NO-NO in the daytime; but it does look cool!:

The very effective MARPAT again:

The guy on the right (my brother) wears XCAM, while the guy on the left wears MULTICAM. These are awesome!

These are all pics from our AIRSOFT events in central Mississippi. I'm no expert, so I'll just say that YOU should make up your own mind as to what you see works best.
