Check out this new JG GAS BLOWBACK M4A1!! $71.99!! The last time I check shipping costs here, it was about $40 to ship from China, but that still has the cost around $120! Has anyone read anything about this? I have read that it's better than the AGM. Who knows? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/other-gun/gas-blow-black-rifle/jing-gong-m4a1-gas-blow-back-rifle.html img] [/img

From what I've read you wouldn't even want to think about skirmishing it in a game until you tinkered with it, and basically replaced everything inside. Then again, that's what I've read about most Gas in Mag GBBRs out there, with maybe a few exceptions.
I think it would be a good tinker gun, and fun to plink around with. You won't see me on the field with it though.

Yeah now that my KWA is broke, I'm looking for another primary. I really wanna GBB, but I don't think it's cost effective. They're cool, but pricey on the long run. I'm still thinking of heading down the AK route but I need something reliable this time.

Yeah, GBBR seem to be a fun craze. But in the end, I think they are just a craze. Like you said, they aren't cost effective. The mags are ridiculously expensive. You have to upkeep them a lot, parts are about the price of an AEG if not more. And in the end, I have heard they still don't get the range or accuracy that AEGs have. AEGs have just had WAY too much time to develop and improve for some new thing to come out and take over the market. If it ever does happen, it will be a long time away. As for another Primary, I have heard that the CYMA AKs are AMAZING. I had a CM028 (One of their first few AK47s). It had a plastic body, and a plastic faux wood stock but it performed flawlessly for the time I had it. The newer lines have Real wood and Metal bodies, and the internals are still the same, if not better. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a CYMA AK again. Especially for their price.

Yeah I've been reading good stuff about CYMA too. I have my eye on that CM046 with blowback. I think once the GBBRs catch up in the R&D dept I might buy one, but not now. I'm still SICK about my KWA breaking!!! That wasn't supposed to happen so soon! Lol!

The JG is a WA clone so I would expect on the woes associated with that linage plus some due to decreased QC. I have heard good things about the WEs and KJWs. They all seem to be too hot to skirmish with unless you allow for 450FPS rifles. This results in upgradeing the bolt with an NPAS valve for RA-TECH for another $80. GBBRs are expensive but fun. If you don't like this option and can't stand your Marui sewing machine check out classic airsoft.

Yeah I saw a video of the WE and it looked pretty impressive! But still, I can't justify the cost simply for the cost of the mags. That Magnum c02 system looks promising, but it's expensive also and I see leaks being a problem. I guess the AEG route will still be best all around. I really like the real sword type 56, but the fps is REALLY low and I don't wanna have to crack open the gearbox on a brand new weapon! Classic stuff is cool, but I'm guessing it wouldn't be so practical in a modern skirmish. signed , I'm confused and don't know what to buy! Lol

LOL! GBB rifles, including some classics, and BV based guns, pretty much the rest of classics, are in general impractical in some way. They are either expensive to start in, skirmish with, lack after market support, or are difficult to maintain. That sounds like AEGs to me too though. Classics are the only option for blow back and AEG magazines though. I like the GBBRs but the cool off just sucks. I could deal with the NPAS valve deal and $50 mags but the guns break to much and by the time you get it where you want in a loadout you are looking at $600-$800+ spent, which could have gotten you about any classic airsoft gun, air rig, midcaps and CO2 bottles. Or 2-3 nice AEGs! AEGs are here to stay, they have way to much market penetration for anybody to consider dropping them. Heck! VFC started making an "econo" line of M4s. They're $280+ but from $400+ that's a huge drop for them. I wonder why they would do something like that? Gas guns offer a PTW'esk feeling that appeals to the milsimer in all of us, that don't want to confuse the feeling of a trigger with the click of their computer mouse.
