No!!! I haven't tried it yet, but you made a good point. It might need have premade stress point that will allow it to break only in strategic locations. But hey, look at it this way, it ALL high speed plastic! Lol

Easy way to avoid jagged shrapnel is to force the shrapnel into a specific shape, in the same way that a real-life fragmentation grenade works. Just cut small squares into the easter egg (not all the way through...just on the surface) with an exacto knife. The main difference between an easter egg and a frag grenade is that plastic squares don't have the penetrating power of metal. Also, their edges won't be as sharp as jagged, uncontrolled shrapnel.

i have already tested that easter egg grenade. does not sling the bb's hard at all. i was gonna try hot glue-ing the bb's diretlt to the firecracker next. A gas station here in puckett actually sells firecrackers year round, and i just so happen to have a whole box of them.

What?!! No beer in this airdrop either? what gives?..guess we will just have to kill the enemy and take their beer.. LOCK AND LOAD!!!

Score one for the innovators!! My rocket launcher works, it fires around 100 yards when done right. 4 paintballs at a time, nerf pocket vortex, mini tennis balls, and 200 bb's at once. 4 choices for ammo makes it versatile and adaptable to many combat scenario's as well. It is still in it's raw form right now, all it lacks is the stuff to make it look right. i will bring it to the next event , Bio-kill for a demonstration. Instruction on proper operation, and How To build One of your own.

did you put flour in it too? The idea was not so much to hit someone with bbs as it was to get flour in them! Lol. Anyway, maybe we need to use a bigger firecracker too!!

I was wondering what the rules were for homemade gear... RPG, Mortar, etc. What are the approved rounds, what can you target?
I have something in my shop that I could turn into either an RPG or Mortar, just need to know what I can shoot.

BBS and just about anything NERF! Lol. You know, rockets etc. Sadly, most guys are against using paintball grenades and such. Personally, I think using paintball projectiles is an AWESOME IDEA!!!! I think they would be awesome when used in m203s and other grenade launchers. They would also make awesome shotguns! But like I said, sadly, I STAND ALONE in my beliefs!!lol. But if you think of anything else, just ask us and we will see how everyone feels about it!

targets depend on your chosen round. i would only use bb's or nerf against human targets, any of the four against a defended position or vehicle.

IVE DONE IT AGAIN!!!!! now working on my mortar 2.0!!!!! It is made of stronger materials, stronger blasting substances(propellants), and........ IT CAN SHOOT PINE CONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (which I have spray painted red ) and Ive given it a cooler paint job.... one problem all these new innovations have given it lots of weight... but its still cool, oh and I tried making it ignite with a spark plug but that just resulted in lots and lots of small annoying shocks in my hand and utter failure... but it was still fun and I think I have and idea for a "shocking" new igniting button!!!! I think I will post some pics of it if I can get my camera working... screen cracked so I have to do everything by listening to the beeps and bloops it makes when ever I press the buttons.... but its still functional well I think I will wrap this post up with a small yet awesome word.... kittens... no wait pudding... yeah there we go, pudding, well tata for now! pudding

Pudding, man, pudding. That's what I'm talking about. Your improved mortar sounds awesome! Tip on the spark plugs: it kinda takes several volts to activate a spark plug (about 20,000)!!! But hey, it was a good idea!! Think TAZER!!! lol. I can't wait to see it!

well the spark plug thing is the ignition thingy from a grill so Im thinking of using the design of a spud gun or something like that.

haha noooo, all I need to do is create a small spark, not a lightening bolt or something big like that but yeah its either that or a bomb inside the mortar that explodes and sends bbs everywhere
