Haven't managed to get my own copy of solidworks, so all i've got right now is the student version (hence no update on the triple-barreled aeg shotgun) Tongue

However, idea #2: GBB 3-round shotgun. Either that or semi-automatic gas shotgun. Would only really work on a reservoir type, like the Marushin m500. The idea I had was fairly basic...just attach the blowback piece rack-and-pinion style to a feed system, instead of having to use the pump.
Ghetto paint idea:

If you set the hammer and pin right, this <could> result in a fully automatic shotgun (My GBB pistol has malfunctioned in such a way as the blowback mechanism kept bouncing on the gas release on the magazine. This resulted in emptying the 35-round clip in somewhere around 5 seconds, although the kick was completely out of control Tongue . If the shotgun were designed that way intentionally it could prove awesome).

Holy smokes!! Seems our brother creeper was right, we do have alot of talent hiding in here. I love the auto shot gun, you may benefit from a bit of youtube watching. go there and type in aa-12 combat shotgun. It may help with your design. the real steel deal uses a drum mag that holds 30 shells. And building a replica for airsoft in a drum mag for a shotgun may be as simple as making it coil spring loaded, and should serve the function well. Not to mention, you would be the first to build one for airsoft, and could even patent the design. Big bucks in that endeavor.

Actually the problem with the whole "shell" concept is that a shell is too small to insert a blowback into it. It doesn't hold enough gas. Hence why I thought of rack & pinion. Now, if I can only get hunter to let me take apart his WE Tech SCAR... if I figure out how the loading system on that gun works, I can just expand it to a shotgun platform and get going in solidworks.

OPHELIA UPDATE:  Project OPHELIA, the 100 round per second, heavy machine gun, has been put on the back burner for a while.  The air replenishment system has become a MAJOR drawback.  While I realize that I could use an HPA setup commonly used in paintball, the FUNDS are holding me back.  I will go back to the drawing board later, but for now I need a primary weapon!  I wont give up on this project, but it seems I have become overwhelmed in concentration on this and I have lost contact with the real airsoft world. Im ready to take a break from this and start having fun again....

well Ive finished it!! i have built a fully working co2 powered air soft mortar!! i was originally trying to build a rpg or something like that but a few shortcuts led me to a mortar. i will post a video of it soon and let everyone check it out. all i need is a more portable base for it.

CHEAP AIRSOFT GRENADE IDEA!!!  Ok, this idea is assuming that no one has a problem using small firecrackers.  First, I have seen CAMOFLAUGE EASTER EGGS at walmart, so you're gonna need a bag of these.  Then you need some slightly-larger- than-tiny firecrackers.  Then some bbs and flour.
1.  Bore a small hole in one end of the egg, just large enough to pass the fuse thru
2.  Insert firecracker and fill with about 30-40 bbs (.12 gram are best for this)
3.  Fill and pack and fill and pack the egg with flour
4.  Wrap black tape around the seam of the egg so it doesn't come apart
5.  Light fuse and throw
6.  Smile while looking at your buddy covered with flour
7.  Thank CREEPER #13 for this cool idea

Have you actually tried this? The plastic shards from the Easter egg and shredded bbs could prove to be potentially harmful shrapnel.
