Hey guys, This is something that some of the guys at MS-TAC want to start officially/unofficially doing. A lot of us have been using our real names in battle or the screen names we ourselves have come up with for this and other forums. I just wanted to get some suggestions about how we should go about giving them out. Most of the time people just get called something that sticks but there are a lot of players that put in the same time and effort into the sport who get "overlooked." So we wanted to come up with some kind of system. Do you do it at your club? How?
So far all we have decided upon is that we won't give any until a player has been with the club for at least a year.

That's a good question man. It's strange, but it seems most of us got our nicknames by our screen names. It seems that without the forums, no one would have a nickname at all. If ya wanted to be military-like about it, you could call the guys by their last names. My name started out as CREEP but my brother said that was too creepy so I changed it too CREEPER. I don't even have a clue what any of that means. I drive a truck and my CB handle has been SCARECROW for 13 years, but I'm kinda tired of hearing it. Lol

I got my nickname years ago from a former coach of mine who always called me Joker, which seems strange because I'm usually so serious and dull... Since then people seem to think I have the joker smile or something... Oh well...

Well when BOA started out, we would go out and play airsoft of course, and the players that didn't have a nickname, we would give them a name that fits the way they played....I was Rambo, but I felt like that would not be a good name considering the movie. After all I came up with Barricade, since I am a big guy, LOL. We had one ol member that liked to crawl around in the night games we played and we ended up calling him Night Crawler. Another liked to use Stick on leaves and liked to disappear in the woods, so we called him Chameleon. Some times its fitting, but we never called someone something they didn't like.
Hope that helped some.

i had given this much though. Being ex-military, i felt naked without my last name on my uniform. But most know me as my screen name on here. Velcro tags are swappable and can contain any info you want. last name, screen name, whatever. just a though.
