August 14th huh?  I was planning on driving back from the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS on the 14th, but I could come back on the 13th for a good game the next day!

Alright, rally up!  Who's coming?

I say we play a little "Reactor" on Devil Dog Creek with the respawn outside the base!  And have we ever tried V.I.P. at your place Dyno?  That might be interesting... Maybe multi-respawn V.I.P.

Well y'all know my story- if I'm home, I'm there! Also, if I make it to this one, I'd like to try my "DROPDEAD RESPAWN" idea on one of the games if y'all are cool with that!

Being the Site Safety Supervisor down here working the Oil spill, I cant help but make a few key Notes for this game!

With this Heat, Please, Please, do the following:
*Take Breaks as often as possible and drink some water!
* Drink .5 L or more ever HOUR!
* Drink no less than 2 Gallons throughout the day!
* KEEP SOMEONE with you at all times, DO NOT TRAVEL IN THE WOODS ALONE.....EVER!
* EVERYONE needs to invest in a whistle(Cheap), this will Help in case of a REAL EMERGENCY!
* ALSO I would say play 1 hour and CALL a break for Water...This is to ensure that EVERYONE gets Hydrated (For those that choose to ignore the first few Rules....Take a 15 min Break or more if needed.
*  I or someone else will update this if some other Safety Issues are brought up.

PLEASE take this into SERIOUS CONSIDERATION!  This is nothing to play around with.  Down here working in LA, People are passing out left and right, and BP has INCREASED Safety Regulations to insure that this does not HAPPEN!  I am talking about like work 20 minutes and Break 40 minutes.  This is not for Airsoft, but it has opened my eyes up tremendously to the Heat Exhaustion Issue.

As much as it sounds wussified to do so, i must agree with site safety supervisor on those key points. Hydration is important, i learned this from 3 things. 1. my recent bout with kidneys stones 2. my mother's even more recent bout with kidney stones 3. And today, a co-worker being hospitalized with kidneys stones.
Healthy hydration does not seem to be high on many people's list, so allow me to say pain killers will be high on your list and no matter how strong the dose, they only take the edge off the pain these suckers can inflict (take it from someone who pulled his own tooth with a pair of pliers more than once) Kidney stones suck, and are far more common in this state than anyone could realize. Drinking more fluids sucks way less, and as an insurance policy to never have to deal with kidneys stones (my urologist told me) drink diet sprite or diet 7-up alot. they dissolve them and prevent them from forming. something about the chemical combination of them while passing through your body, just makes this work.

Now, having said all that safety crap. For the good stuff,i like the idea of reactor on the hill. we should use the drop dead respawn on the v.i.p. mission. I love playing at dyno's place, it is like research and development during combat which is just plain awesome. alright, now we need the important stuff. Game start time? Waivers needed? Oh, and i am there, junior too, as well as micheal. Micheal has asked to be in S.A.S. and i want him in there, he is an awesome flanker. Also, i am kinda wondering, who else is in the squad with me? i am posting a roster on the S.A.S. page, so go sound off!!

on the issue of the whistle. i had a neat gadget at the apgob game this last weekend. its a flashlight, glowstick, whistle all in one tool. infact the glowstick part can either be a solid or flashing red light.

this is going to be great for those night ops i end up going to. so i can turn it OFF when im no longer dead. if i get a chance ill take a pic of it to post.

Another thing,
if you see a snake LEAVE IT ALONE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.. far more people are bitten trying to kill or bother a snake than are bitten purely by accident.

Also, if you we want, i can get bottled water or even sports drink wholesale at the realpure bottling plant in magee, last time i priced some it was 3 bucks a case for h2o

Regards Water,

Been hospitalized twice this summer, no I am not bullet proof, pancreatitis and a mini-stroke.  The major recommendation from the doctor each time was---drink more water.

Suggest that during hot weather and playing airsoft one liter per hour of water is probably necessary.

As for as snakes, even the freshly dead ones can still bite, about 30% of all snake bites come from freshly dead snakes being picked up. And another large percent of bites (>50) come when people try to kill them,  That leaves about 20% just plain-ole mean snakes---when you step on them.

But, lets not ever talk about coons and spiders.  Those are some scary and mean critters.

Mr. Randall,  I couldn't agree more about the coons and spiders!  While I can't say I'm "afraid" of coons, I HAVE been bitten by one in a Texas rest area! Lol.  As far as spiders are concerned.......NOTHING makes me show an absence of Y chromosomes faster than a big spider!

See the thing is about summer play is that the average Temp is going to be around 96 Degrees.  So the thing down here at the coast is .5 Liters, but WE are not running around.  So I agree with Boanerges.  If we are running around in the woods, we need to consume 1 Liter of water an hour.  That should be 2 average Desani Water Bottles or Half a Hydro Pack.  This will help make the game play run consistent all day with out anyone wanting to back out and head home.  Granted it is Hot as HELL.

Take your time also going through the woods.  Obviously there will be Snakes, Black Widows, etc... but there is also a lot of HOLES!  Just take your time and watch where you are walking.  Also try and run back the way you came in since you know the grounds are safe that way.  No one needs a sprung or broken Ankle.

My Canopy was damaged by all the Bad weather that came in one day, so I have to get another one.  If you have one Bring it just incase it is needed for shade...
